Jaeil Bai, research assistant professor at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the United States. The phase behavior of confining fluids, water and silicon in particular, is major research focus of Dr. Bai’s research for many years. Dr. Bai’ also has been studied on the determination of structural and electronic properties of various nanostructures such as silicon clusters/nanotube/nano-sheets (e.g., silicene), and metal doped gold clusters. Dr. Bai has published in journals such as PNAS., Nat. Comm., JACS, and ACS Nano. et al..
报告摘要:
Generally interfacial and confined fluids exhibit microstructural, dynamical, and thermo-physical behaviors that differ from those of their bulk counterparts. Molecular dynamics simulations revealed rich phase transition behaviors of liquid and solid confined to nanopores. In this report, liquid-to-solid and solid-to -solid phase behaviors of water, silicon, CO2 and gas hydrates in nanopores will be discussed.
