Abstract:
Janus materials with two different chemical regions compartmentalized onto the same objects are gaining growing interests. It has become a new hotspot of material research for its anisotropic composition and structure. It is key to develop new methods to easily and large-scale synthesize Janus materials with tunable morphology, strict chemical composition partition, functional composite partition, and precise control of microstructure. We have developed facile ways to synthesize Janus materials with tunable size, shape and microstructure. Especially, Janus submicron colloids with compositions distinctly compartmentalized can be large scale produced, which are significant for practical applications. It will support new ideas and measures for the further production and application of Janus materials.
